Hey GH mods, I am a CS undergrad student and I would like to keep “playing” with grasshopper, Can you add some refreshing routines or mind sharpening riddles for more advanced coders?

I enjoyed the Fundamentals module and just checked out the suggested Algorithms course. The syllabus looks interesting, but anyone considering it should be aware that they use Java (not JavaScript used in Grasshopper) to implement the algorithms. This is a big step up if this is your first programming experience. It would be nice if Coursera listed prerequisites.

I loved the course, but I don’t have a lot of time to go through and do more online classes, I’m currently in college and I wanted to know if I am able to do something a little more on my time, since I’m currently graduating with my diploma in network engineering, I’m going for my associates right after, I don’t really have a lot of time for a course that I can’t control, any suggestions?

I enjoyed the course, but feel that I have only a basic grasp of what I actually did. I thought it was a fun app, and I would like more quizzes and other ways to test what I learned. 
By the way I just learned of another place to learn coding online: https://www.codecademy.com/. Some free and paid courses.

Online resources are internationally available!
Many of them are in English, but not all.
Other languages may take searching, but they exist.
W3 Schools has free instruction in JavaScript, along with HTML, CSS and other web technologies.
Try a Google search for “JavaScript tutorials.” Do the same in YouTube.
Some are easier to understand than others; try several.
Don’t be discouraged when something you read doesn’t make sense the first time! Good coders do a lot of web searches.
Look for local coding Meetup groups, for teens and adults; if you’re younger, see if there are Coder Dojo sessions in your area.
Learn when to be stubborn, and when to look at something else.

Google recommended CodeAcademy in reference to Google Charts. I haven’t tried it yet, but it seems very useful. And it is freemium.

I am excited I went through this grasshopper challenge. It’s given me the confidence to continue as I have no coding background. It took we a week to do this. I am looking at continuing with your online class. I wish you had a partner here in Cleveland, Ohio.
If you have any other helpful tips to newbies please send me that info. Maybe some day I can one of the very few female coders.

Has anyone here completed the Google + cousera certificate program and successfully found a job afterwards.
Is there any age discrimination with help desk 1 level.?
I am looking at it as a perfect job for retirement and to stay busy.
Do help desk jobs require you to report to an office or can it be remote.

Grasshopper was great fun. I wrote about my experience with it on TechyMike.com. Time to clean up my resume (gotta find it first) and see if Google will hire a 66 year old Grasshopper graduate.

Are you guys considering adding more to the app, or will this be it? Either way this was a great experience and thank you. I like the idea of being able to learn this stuff on the go with my phone.
