My issue is with Penny Pincher

If the function inCents converts dollars to cents, why do I have to still multiply the dollars by 100? Why don’t I just go ahead and type console.log (inCents(wallet))?

YOUR SOLUTION

You have 20 dollars.
You have 2000 cents.
YOUR CODE
let wallet
20;
function inCents(dollars,
) {
wallet
=
dollars * 100 = ;
};

console.log('You have +
wallet + dollars. ');

Because it is set to modify the passed in variable.to do it the way you are wanting to, you would have to have a return statement at the end of the inCents function.
